HUNTING and Wildlife
Why can I hear Gunshots?
Sounds carry from all sides up to Ridgetop Cabin. The State of Missouri has many different hunting seasons throughout the year, and although our neighbors are acres away, the sound of their gunshots do travel.
Can I hunt at Ridgetop Cabin?
No. Hunting is not allowed at Ridgetop Cabin.
Can I feed or play with the Wildlife?
No. Do not feed or play with the wildlife. Wild animals could become angry or frightened and cause you injury. Wild animals could also carry disease, so it's best to just observe them from a distance.

Is Ridgetop Cabin safe?
Ridgetop Cabin is as safe as any glamping cabin in the woods can be. Enter cabin and woods at your own risk. Ridgetop Cabin is not responsible for injury, bodily harm, or death.
Are there bugs? Should I bring bug spray?
Yes and yes. There will be bugs.

Please help us as we try to prevent insects from getting inside the cabin. We do what we can, but it does happen from time to time.

We highly recommend wearing insect repellent, particularly when it is warmer.

Whenever possible, avoid stinging insects, spiders, and snakes.

Ticks are prominent in Missouri.

Can I have a party or host an event at Ridgetop Cabin?
No. Parties and/or events are not allowed. While we expect families, small groups and gatherings at Ridgetop Cabin, wild/extreme parties, large bonfires, “keggers” or “ragers” are not allowed.
Are there cameras?
Yes. There are six cameras around the outside of the cabin, two game cameras in woods, and one doorbell camera for our safety and the safety of our guests.
Is Ridgetop Cabin smoke-free?
Yes. Inside Ridgetop Cabin is smoke-free. Smoking is permitted outside.

Prevent forest fires. Please always use ashtrays and dispose of extinguished cigarette remains in waste bins.
Is Ridgetop Cabin suitable for children?
Yes, with good supervision. Although please be advised, Ridgetop Cabin and the surrounding area are not child-proof.
Are pets allowed at Ridgetop Cabin?
Dogs are allowed at Ridgetop Cabin, with good supervision. Guests shall pay for losses or damages due to pets. Ridgetop Cabin is not responsible for injury, bodily harm , or death of guest’s pet(s).
